Does Paying It Forward work?
I sent an email to my list recently offering to help people with whatever issues were of concern to them and one individual said he had trouble keeping people in his downlines even though he was Paying It Forward (paying the monthly fees) for people to join under his programs.
You can view the email I sent out by going here
This is known as PIF or Paying It Forward and it’s a terrible idea!
You may have even seen the emails stating,
“I will pay your way in, join here now!”
What these marketers are basically telling people is that it’s super-easy to get people to join your program when you offer to pay their way in, therefore it’s super-easy to replicate and duplicate this “easiest of downline building methods”.
In no way, shape, nor form does this brand you as someone who is an expert.
This method is basically telling people to use a “trick” to get people to join their program witohut really having to do any work.
This method doesn’t not build your business, does not practice good attraction marketing techniques and doesn’t really increase your cash flow.
This method also leads to high attrition rates because of the types of people who took you up on your offer of having their membership fees paid for them.
Who do you want on your team in your primary program, freebie-seekers looking for a quick way to make cash, or people who don’t need their membership fees paid since they’re already somewhat successful in what they’re doing?
How does a network marketer create an All-Star team of networkers in his/her downline?
Ask Murielle Monetalvo, who is building a MONSTER team for efusjon…
Or just consider the type of person you want on your team and how you can attract them to you….
Lets pretend for a minute that I’m a network marketing newbie and I see an ad that says,
“Ill pay your way in, learn my secrets for easy downline building and duplication, guaranteed”
First of all, as a newbie that’d appeal to me but as a team leader do you really want newbies with this mindset on your team?
- It’s the newbies who need the most help and motivation to get a productive business going.
- It’s the newbies who still need to overcome some mental hurdles like having a job mentality before they can truly grow their business.
- It’s the newbies who desperately need to realize there are no shortcuts here, otherwise the successful types would have done those already
So let’s say you run an ad like this and fork over XXX dollars a month to fund these people’s memberships…
You’ve already shown them that you encourage very little effort on their part to join a business by removing the entry fee, but that also means you aren’t getting people on your team who are willing to invest in their businesses due to their inherent fears (of failure and of success).
Therefore you’re enabling them to continue their fearful, no-risk, take-no-action ways….
Everyone loves a freebie, but not many non-serious, non-motivated people invest in their businesses and marketing education.
When it comes to spirituality, Paying It Forward does work, but do you want your real-life business to be reliant upon karma?
It’s better karma to attract higher quality people with your message and content than it is to provide them with freebies, which only a small percentage will duplicate/Pay Forward.
The higher quality people WILL duplicate, but with less effort from you, due to their very nature.
Hope all this makes sense and serves you well.

Network Marketing Tips: 5 Things Network Marketer Leaders Do Daily
The internet and network marketing industry is filled with so-called, self proclaimed leaders who are Fakin’ It Until They Make It.
Part of the reason for this is a lot of people get sold on the whole notion of attraction marketing after reading Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring book so they set out to brand themselves instantly as leaders in this industry via attraction marketing.
However, reading an ebook does not a leader make (semi-Yoda like there, eh?) The amazing thing to me is that everyone is touting Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring as their main “Bible” to follow to achieve their marketing success.
But if you are practicing attraction marketing but with no success or practical knowledge to back it up, that is a pretty shallow, myopic, and useless method to use to build your business. There needs to be some “Ommph!” and legitimacy behind your attraction marketing methods; your lifestyle pics, your “look at me I’m successful!”" writings, recordings, videos and what-not…
5 Things Network Marketing Leaders Do Daily
1. Visualization techniques – If you Fail to Plan, you Plan to Fail, as the saying goes
The way visualization works is you imagine/visualize things as you’d like them to happen or even visualize them as if they’ve already happened.
As an avid golfer in my high school years, I was doing a lot of visualization techniques before I knew what visualization techniques even were! It was a natural thing for me to do because I truly loved the game of golf and prior to taking every shot there was some sort of visualization involved.
The funny thing about visualization is you’re not surprised when things happen exactly as you imagined them, quite the opposite actually… With visualization you’re only surprised when you don’t see the end results…
A friend of my family who is also a golfing fanatic has a picture of him inside the clubhouse depicting him chipping in from 30-40 yards away, and in the picture there’s a guy congratulating him saying,
“Wow! nice shot, I can’t believe you hit the pin and sunk it from 40 yards out…!!”
And my family friend’s response was,
“Why not? I was aiming for it”..
and he was completely serious, too. He expected every shot to go in.
This may sound a little too much like new-age horse hockey but applying and implementing this network marketing tip will lave the mental foundation upon which all your success will be built upon, seriously…
Practice visualization techniques on a daily basis, preferably before you get into your rhythm for your day…and again at the end of the day as a re-affirmation method to put you to sleep with your goals set straight.
Put yourself in the space of ALREADY achieving your goals. Meditate, feel, taste, and smell the outcome. if you do it right this part will become so real to you that it will move you to the next step.
2. Focus on true income- producing activities
This particular network marketing tip is one of he hardest to implement because a lot of people don’t know what true income-producing activities really are.
The minutiae or running an online business can include the following:
- checking and replying to emails,
- organizing their PC and desk desktops of clutter,
- visualizing and planning the day,
- training downlines and reps,
- attending company training and opportunity calls,
- talking on the phone to downlines and potential new team members
While these are all just some of the elements involved in running a business, they’re not always the true income-producing activities you want to be spending most of your time on. In the network marketing world there are only two things that make your money;
- Prospecting – getting leads
- Prospecting – closing the leads
End of Story, just remember though, that anything that helps you prospect more is an added task that lends to your overall momentum.
3. Personal development, self mastery
One of the best business and network marketing tips you’ll ever hear is the tip that tells you that you have to work on yourself more than you work on your business.
Your brain is what drives your business, your life, and your daily actions inside and out of business 9in case you didn’t know). This means every single day reading or listening or watching something that will better you as a leader. There is always enough time in the day. Turn off the tv, put down the newspapers, and garbage novels. At lunch if you have an iPod or iPhone put on your headsets and listen to Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, or whoever you choose. Allow their words and beliefs to transform you into a better leader.
4. Mastermind with other leaders
For us in the network marketing/direct sales industry this means getting on all the conference calls that our respective companies have. It’s not feasable to always have events so this is the best way. Look at it as you are a part of a mastermind group. You can learn from those that are where you want to be.
5. Position myself at the top (Cultivating the expectation of leadership)
Depending on the company you are with there may be different levels that you can join at. As a leader you want to set the culture on your team to always play from the top. If you don’t have the money to get at the top then work your butt off finding ways to get it or to climb your way through the ranks. Leaders understand that those that typically get in the MLM business at a lower position will not take the business seriously. Always fight to get to the top no matter what.
In order for this to work properly you have to do all five every single day. Now to see what I consider the biggest network marketing tip of all go here.
The Evolutionary Life Cycles Of Network Marketing Companies
This post is broken up into two parts
- When network marketing companies first launch,
- When network marketing companies reinvent themselves
There are some network marketing companies that start strong and die a slow death into obscurity, and some companies that reinvent themselves every so often to keep themselves relevant in the marketplace.
Business is an ever-changing entity, so it never stays the same, and it will never be exactly as it was 3 seconds ago. The good, solid netowrk marketing companies that manage to stay around for a long time have to re-invent themselves to maintain, recover, or increase their market share.
When network marketing companies first launch, Part 1:
When a compan yis about to launch, there are pre-pre-launches, pre-launches all leading up to the offical launch date.
The reason they do this is to work out the bugs with their systems, ordering, auto-shipping, compensation plans software, self-replicate site-creation technology etc…. They also do these multiple pre-launches to allow some leaders to get in at top positions super-early and very close to the top, and this all happens behind the scenes unbeknownst to many.
Then the leaders tell their HOT markets about this new opportunity that truly is ground floor and they’ve built their solid downline base. Then the trickle-down effect starts and its a bit of a gold rush because this unpublicized behind-the-scenes stuff is like a drug that makes everyone think that getting in early is sure path to easy money (and it is with the right programs and comp plans).
And by the time the official launch kicks off, the momentum is built by the leader stating how this is absolutely exploding for them and then they spend most of their time doing training calls as official Peddler Spokespeople for the programs their involved in.
When network marketing companies first launch, Part 2:
After these companies and programs launch, they frequently end up making changes along the way as the initial growing pains occur.
- They change the affiliate links structure,
- They incorporate new rules for promotion by IBOs,
- They change their corporate sites,
- They move their training areas
- They move their support sites
- etc…, etc…, etc…
- Then the products themselves change;
- They add new products to their product lines
- They add new bonuses for productive members
- They add new areas of distribution to include new countries and regions that weren’t included before
When network marketing companies reinvent themselves:
As mentioned earlier in this post business is an ever-changing thing and the businesses that adapt are the ones that survive and thrive.
Sometimes the reinvention includes the same exact program and company with existing dowline infrastructure in place and the “re-invent” is simply a grand re-opening.
In most cases the reinvention is a revamped compensation plan bonus plan and product line with new packaging, which to me is a real re-invention and worthy of a re-launch.
what happens when When network marketing companies reinvent themselves like this is the old downlines are called in an attempt to reactive those inactive former paying members. This is the quickest way to revitalize a program to gain some momentum without going to a lot of extra effort.
The inactive downlines are obviously other network marketers who’d expressed enough interest to join that program and the new-ness of the re-launch serves asa compelling reason for them to reactive their positions.
You have to remember that 95% of the inactive downlines aren’t making any real money since they’re no different that the rest of the network marking industry, therefore they’re ripe for reactivation with the right “carrot” in hand,
A different kind of marketing MLM Network Marketing is, Hmmm..?
OK, it’s time to let a bit of my sci-fi geek out of the bag here and pretend I’m Yoda, the Jedi Marketing Master. In this post I’m going to explain the differences between the typical MMO websites and the typical MLM Network marketing websites.
With normal internet marketing websites catering to the make money online crowd or just to niche websites, review sites, Adsense sites, CPA offers etc… most people are hiding behind their computers trying to earn their incomes.
The typical internet marketing site catering to the MMO (make money online) crowd doesn’t have much in the way of useful information. Most of these websites are just peddling, selling, reviewing, offering bonuses to those who buy from the site owners’ affiliate links etc…
People are bending over backwards offering crazy bonuses with inflated perceived values just to get sales, and they’re reducing the value of the bonuses this way. They’re also reducing the value of the knowledge within those ebooks because they were obtained for free, basically.
The ones who succeed are the ones who;
- overcome the hurdles of self-doubt
- put their names on their websites,
- put their pictures on their websites,
- create information products in their name
- make videos with their faces and voices on there
The truly successful marketers have branded themselves in myriad ways; Interviews, information products, Press Releases, Pictures, etc…
But when it comes to the MLM Network Marketing industry, things are a bit different and you have to elevate your game.
Anyone can sell low-priced ebooks all day long and earn a nice income from that, but Attraction Marketing is even more important when it comes to getting people to believe in you and join your funded proposal to eventually enter your inner circle of influence.
I’ve had several mentors in my day, and they were all of some use although none did what I expected probably because I wasn’t ready for their lessons at that time. But I listened to them with the dry-sponge, tabula rasa/blank slate mentality so their lessons were absorbed and resurface sometimes, usually right when I need those lessons to re-enter my consciousness . So, if you buy a hyped-up product and tihnk it stinks, it may NOT stink, you just might not be ready for the lessons yet.
Anyways, one day I told one of my former coaches that I had my own membership highly ranked in the search engines and it was getting a lot more traffic but the increase in traffic hadn’t increased memberships. He told me,
“Yeah bud that’s great but people will join your membership site from your mailing list if they know you and trust you”
Well, lo and behold, the increase in membership levels came NOT from the search engine traffic and organic visitors but from people who read my blog posts at my internet marketing blog. On that blog (linked to above) I share some really useful tips and my intention with that site is merely to provide information that will truly help people.
Every time I make a blog post that reaches people’s underlying fears and concerns and gives helpful advice and tipsfor free, guess what happens?
I get a few emails stating,
“Dan, after reading your blog posts, I think you’re someone who can truly help me achieve my goals of XXX, XXX, and XXX by doing XXX, XXX, and XXX”
Here’s the point:
Creating good content and focusing on your readers will help you brand yourself better, is considered a good pre-selling mechanism which leads to better business growth/easier increased sales.
Enrolling people into membership sites doesn’t come from 1st-time visitors from the search engines as easily as it does from people who already know you and trust you. The way to get people to trust you is to show them what you’re made of. Getting highly ranked for certain terms doesn’t guarantee you sales unless you’re producing the atmosphere of trust, reliability and authority.
The reason MLM Network Marketing requires an elevation of your “marketing game”:
Network marketing is probably THE most over-hyped and drivel-prone industry as compared to SEO sites, niche marketing, and even the MMO industry.
- The SEO industry is results and features driven…if an SEO program, product, or service is bad there will be major repercussions and there is instant bad rep acquired, trust is lost and hardly ever regained.
- Niche marketing is based on addressing and resolving needs; sell what what they think they already convinced themselves they need (weight loss pills for instance)
- MMO and MLM Network Marketing is more of a “sell the sizzle, not the steak, sell the dream not the reality” industry. To succeed minimally here, sell what people want, but to explode your business sell what people want and need!
The MLM Network Marketing and MMO industry is filled with hype and bad marketing tactics. There are so many new garbage matrix programs, downline clubs, “no selling, no recruiting easy-path-to-riches” types of entities coming out creating a jaded industry with the 95% failure market share making things worse that they should be.
The great thing about all of that is it leaves only one option available to you for success, and this option is the one that will make it rather easy for you to stand out from the crowd…
Do what the 95% aren’t doing…
Are the 95% of the failures in network and multi level marketing…
- Branding themselves?
- Building their true business You Inc. first?
- Providing value to readers, consumers, downlines?
- Building their list?
Or are the 95%-ers simply trying to peddle their latest network marketing program they just joined hoping THIS is the program that will turn things all around for them for their, ahem..”business”.?
- Brand yourself, you must, hmmm?
- Build up You Inc, first and foremost, hmmm?
- Make a priority to market a funded proposal that builds your subscriber base, you must do, hmmm?
Network Marketing Scams + Bad SEO Advice
I’ve heard it said many, many time that you should optimize some of your writings (articles, blog posts, press releases etc…) for the term network marketing scams.
I’ve also heard it said that you should optimize your content for Program name + Scam as well…
The reason for this is simply that a lot of people are doubtful, fearful, and have a general negative attitude towards wealth attainment and for programs that promise to deliver this embarrassment of riches to them.
Here’s why I think targeting terms like “network marketing scams is a bad idea:
You are practicing some sort of attraction marketing in your network marketing business, right?
If so, then you want to attract positive-minded people to your sphere of influence to surround yourself with people who are truly like-minded (positive, leadership-quality, go-getters, already successful etc…)
Marketers of all types know that there are certain keywords and phrases that are “money words”, some that are just good for getting traffic, and some that hardly ever convert well at all.
With this in mind, you have to realize as TRUTH that the person who types of Product/Program Name + scam is someone who is going to be a lot harder to convert into a positive-minded buyer that someone who types of “network marketing program reviews”.
When you create anything for business, you also create an atmosphere whereby you surround yourself with the types of people who you deserve to be dealing with.
Therefore, I think it’s BAD SEO advice when other marketers tell you to target these terms because it means you’re not fine-tuning your attracting marketing. It means you’re trying to go duck-hunting when you should be skeet-shooting.
On the other hand, it doesn’t really take much extra effort to target these extra keywords (scam, scams) but my thoughts are you can do without that traffic and should focus on the term “review” or “reviews” plus the programs and product names.
But if I had a choice between ranking well for the term “network marketing reviews” versus “network marketing scams” I’d go with the more positive angle every time, for all the reasons mentioned above.
NOTE:
It just occurred to me that writing about network marketing scams is going to attract the very people to my site that I’m telling you not to attract to your site, so if you’re the type the thinks everything is a scam here’s some thoughts for you:
You are how you think
Think negatively, and bad things will surely happen
If you think everything’s a scam, that’s a good excuse for not trying to succeed, fearfulness is ruining your chance of success. Accept your negative mindset for what it is: fear – of failure and success.
There’s a saying that goes something like this;
“If you think the world is full of jerks, and you look hard enough you will surely find out you are right”
So if you type in anything with the search phrase scam attached to it, you’re basically exhbiting fear because you’re not typing in “review”. You’re looking to find the bad things, you’re loooking to find the other negative writings, and possibly, negative people.
That’s your mindset, and birds of a feather flock together, so when you start typing in ProgramName + review + leader + sponsor + training etc…. instead of network marketing scams, then you know your mindset has shifting in the right way, and you’ll be drawn towards people who are more positive and most assuredly, more successful than people who devote their time to attracting and trying to convert the “is this a scam?” crowd.

Yoli Blast Caps, Yoli The Truth Pt.2
This is a follow up to the “Yoli Blast Caps and Yoli Truth are coming to town“, post with some more details about Yoli the Truth, Yoli Blast Caps and how they measure up against 3 other very popular juice network marketing companies..
The very thing that makes Yoli’s business model truly revolutionary also has a bad side to it:
Yoli has a low price point that is unbeatable right now due to their use of the Blast Caps, which elminate the need sto ship bottles to IBOs, which means they only have to send out small Blast Caps, which alos cna easily double as promotional giveaway to build your distributorship.
However, the less a product costs, the less you make off it right? That’s simple economics anyone can understand; the less you gross the less you net, plain and simple.
On the flip side to this, the lower the entry point for a product, the easier it is to sell, and that’s always a very important point when considering what network marketing company to invest time and effort into promoting. There’s an old saying in network marketing about whthether your network marketing company truly has a good product:
“Ask yourself if you would buy it even if you weren’t promoting it as an IBO”
I personally don’t buy any health beverages outside of my businesses that I’ve involved in, but I would have to say that there’s no question I’d pay out the pittance that Yoli costs me each month for continued and improved health and energy.
The lower the entry point AND staying point (monthly fees) for IBOs, the lower the attrition rates, even from deadbeat downlines all are factors that are going to make this a pretty long-term, brand-name network marketing company.
Network marketing health juice companies like Mandura, MonaVie, and Efusjion to name a few had better re-think their distribution methods or they will start to see serious decrease in their market share.
Mandura had the right idea by shipping large 32 oz. bottles to IBOs for a health drink that only requires 4 oz. of daily intake so each bottle lasts 8 days. The problem with Mandura is their drink tastes so good they never last 8 days but their idea of reducing shipping costs by increasing the potency of the drink to require only 4 oz. was brilliant and their bottles are extremely colorful and well-done and are marketing tools in and of themselves, even when empty.
Efusjion ships cases out and in cans and they have 4 flavors for you to choose from, but this is outdated for a numbe ro freasons:
- Cans don’t make for good marketing material, bottles do
- Costs more to ship a case of cans than it does 2 bottles of Mandura
MonaVie -Personally, I think MonaVie is all done and they just don’t know it yet since a lot of their IBOs don’ t like the taste, would rather promote something that’s less expensive (easier sell) and something that doesn’t have preservatives (appeals to the health and wellness side of things).
So when you have something like Yoli that’s easy as heck to market (give away free Yoli samples all day long with some drop cards to build your business) plus a very low and safe entry point you have something that gonna make oyu happy, long-term happy.
As mentioned earlier in this post, the only weakness behind the Yoli network marketing company’s business model is part of the reason why they’re going to be so successful when they really launch.
The less something costs the less you get paid and you’ll have to get some serious numbers of people under you to make a decent income from it. But again….any idiot can give away a free sample via Yoli Blast Caps and build their business that way without thinking.
So, despite the fact that you need a lot to make a lot here that is offset by the extreme ease in which anyone can build a “business” around it.
Yoli Compensation Plan:
Oh yeah, and there’s always the Yoli Compensation plan, too. Almost forgot about that.
Not very many marketers are fans of the binary compensation plan which is why there are so many binary hybrids/ unilevels out there now trying to make good of an inherently bad thing. With binaries you need to place people and build your organization manually, and it pales by comparison, compensation-plan-wise to Mandura and Efusjion’s compensation plans (Efsujion is also a hybrid binary comp plan, and Mandura has a wonderful straight line matrix)
Yoli Blast Caps and Yoli Truth coming to town, watch out…
Yoli is a network marketing company with yet another health product, and their first product is called Yoli Truth.
Yoli’s founders are Robby Fender, Corey Citron, and Daren Falter and they’ve finally done something with a health product based network marketing related distribution model that I’ve always wanted to see: use of technology to make a less inexpensive product…
My biggest complaint as an network marketer has been the over-pricing involved in products that could possibly be obtained elsewhere for less, albeit without the added income stream to it. The reason why so many healt hproducts are so over-priced is they have to factor in shipping costs for new bottles to be sent out to their IBOs on autoship.
Is Yoli truly a revolutionary program, company and product?
What Yoli does is they drastically reduced the price of their products with their introduction of their Yoli blastcaps technology which elminates the need for costly shipping of bottles, which means the overhead is less, the cost to the end users is greatly reduced which results in great value for the consumer.
I consider Yoli a truly revolutionary business to get involved in because they truly have done what no other company has done before, they LOWERED the bar, they lowered the entry level fo rnew members to an extremely inexpensive entry point.
They took the #1 most damaging thing to most network markeitng businesses longetivity whic his that the overhead for those who aren’t making money wit hit are quickly frustrated and can’t afford thei rcostly monthl yfees so they bail out within 2 months o fjoining.
Yoli has an entry point of $3.00 (not that’s not a mis print!) made possible by their use of blastcaps technology which allows them to deliver their products at a price that nobody else can match, at least not right now. This will soon be a copied method and technology because Yoli has the very real potential ofp utting a LO Tof other high-end programs like preservative-leader Monavie in their dust.
Yoli Products:
Yoli has been incorporating wholesome Vitamin C and a proprietary blend of some of the most popular ingredients of the day: Pomegranate, Alkaplex®, Acai extract, Gogi Berry, Resveratrol, Oxyphyte™ White Tea extract, Probiotics, and Monatau®, Yoli Blast Caps® deliver to the market a healthy alternative to all of the nutrient-deprived, sweetened beverages most people are consuming every day.
Yoli Compensation Plan:
The Yoli Compensation Plan blends the synergy and excitement of the Binary with the stability of the Unilevel to create a powerful Hybrid which truly is the best of both worlds. By incorporating the strongest aspects of each, Yoli has created a dynamic, stable compensation plan that will stand the test of time.
37 Network Marketing Tips Guaranteed To Help
I’m not going to mince any words here with these 37 network marketing tips.
Generating Leads
1- Traffic builds your lists and is what generates your leads
2- Traffic generation to a site should mean the same thing to you that lead generation for your sales funnel does.
3- Funded proposals don’t build your lists, YOU DO
4- The best lead generation system is the one you own, control and are responsible for 100%, no exceptions!
Online lead generation
5- Get good at one marketing method before you delve into another
6- If you’re not good at any online marketing methods yet, start with article marketing, and end with PPC marketing
7- Organic traffic is free and converts better than PPC since people know their not going to be sold prior to entering your sphere of influence
8- Organic traffic while free is harder to get than PPC traffic
9- Article marketing, blogs, press releases, PPC, video marketing are your online lead generation methods
Offline marketing
10- Use offline marketing and online marketing, never limit yourself to just one.
11- Prospect while you’re out, don’t go out to prospect
12- Drop card/dollar card business cards are virtually guaranteed positive ROI if the drop cards are used properly and of the right design.
13- There’s more options for OFFLINE leads generation that there are online lead generation methods.
REALITY CHECK
14- No ebook like Magnetic Sponsoring, Make Money or Make Excuses is going to be a “here’s everything I need to know to be successful ” entity.
15- Your self development is going to run a parallel with your business development (direct correlation between the two)
16- You deserve your deadbeat upline because you didn’t do due diligence and got drawn to that type somehow
17- You deserve your deadbeat downlines because you didn’t sift-and-sort the wheat from chaff, either that or you’re just that good you are like a falme for the moths.
18- Don’t re-invent the wheel the gurus know “what’s up”, you don’t..not yet
Time Management
19- Time spent/wasted like reading network marketing blogs like mine could have been spent putting an addition on the You Inc. building
20- Primary program training calls are for non-action-takers who want to feel like “part of a group” and confuse motion with accomplishment.
21- Attending a training call does not generate leads, accept that fact.
22- Call your downlines once a week until they get moving,
23- Stop after the 4th call no matter what they do.
24- Once you ascertain a downline is potential deadbeat material, never call them again. They’ll suck your tie energy and unknowingly are trying to drag you down into their sinkhole.
25- Don’t train other people’s team members for free (even if the program touts itself as “we’re all one big team working together..”)
Attraction Marketing and the Law Of Attraction
26- The law of attraction means your s**t doesn’t stink if you think other think it doesn’t…
27- “Fart Proudly” is the title of a book by Benjamin Franklin. Embody the spirit of that book title, your s**t actually doesn’t stink if you think people think it doesn’t…

Fart Proudly
Branding yourself and You Inc.
28- YouInc. is your primary business and program
29- Do what the network marketing gurus DO, not what they say
30- Network marketing gurus have their own ebooks, funded proposals and affiliate programs, but do any of their ebooks tell you that’s what you need to do in order to be like them?
31- Building an empire based on attraction marketing principles only means you need to do a whole lot of edification and branding.
32- Kinda hard to brand yourself without seeing some success first
33 – Kinda hard to brand yourself quickly unless you have ebooks and affiliate programs working for you
34- Kinda hard to brand yourself if you’re building someone else’s list via their funded proposal (but wait! we use lifetime cookies so you get a lifetime of sales, and we get all your best traffic = the customers you provided us)
Mindset and personal development
35- Screw the network marketing gurus! Next time they pressure you to get off their list, LEAVE! You’re being socially engineered into a subculture of
“I need you , so I follow you, can’t wait to promote your next ebook, thanks for letting me send you my customers”…
36- If you want to remain a pawn and not become a king or queen, then accept this treatment. Submit to inferiority complex being pushed on you.. sucker!
37- Don’t follow blindly the conventional wisdom and public opinion (was the defacto “best mlm ebook ever” really that good?!)
Internet Network Marketing Lead Generation Pt 2.
In the first post in the Internet Network Marketing Lead Generation series, we discussed how lead generation can be boiled down to simple website traffic generation.
In order to get website traffic you want to target certain keywords developed from a keywords list and also to write about topics of interest that are not easily divulged by keyword tools (keyword tools don’t know what your niche is all about!)
So, once you have a general idea of what to write about, what’s the method for writing in such a way that you get the desired traffic?
1- Article marketing
2- Blogging
3- Press Releases
4- Forums
5- Video Marketing
1- Article marketing:
It’s very important that you incorporate article marketing into your portoflio of traffic generation methods because there’s a ton of valuable information to be gleaned from just one article directory.
If you’re not sure what to write about, go to the network marketing category of EzineArticles.com and see what’s being published there, and take special note of the Most Viewed in Last 90 days section for this category, then go to any article and scroll down until you see how many views that page received so far, and when it was published.
Free Keyword ResearchSo, if an article was published one month ago and got 30 page views, then that PAGE gets 1 visitor a day on average. If the article was really highly ranked, like position 1-3 then you pretty much know how many daily searches there are for that keyword.
This is the reality of keyword research as it boils down to your main concern, which is,
“how many visitors a day will I receive by being highly ranked for this keyword?”
THEN…
Go to the RSS Feed or author profile for the authors who wrote thos earticles and see if they write a lot of articles. If these are prolific article publishers in the network marketing niche, get their RSS feed fo rthe eZA articles sent to you so you know what they’re writing about.
THEN…
Write article son the same topic. There’s a reason they’re writing those articles; they’re prolific article writers who are “in the know” about this niche and you can glom off their knowledge this way to have ready-made topics to write about.
What I do is once a month I go look at the Most Viewed Articles in Last 90 days for the network marketing category and usually 85% of those articles there are something I can write articles for or outsource to someone.
2- Blogging:
I prefer blogging because it’s an easy publishing platform to use especially WordPress. This is where my best content is written by my own hand and where I have more control over how I write and what I link to (other post son site or affiliate links or squeeze pages).
Your self-hosted blog is where you get a chance to showcase yourself (You Inc.) and over time it will be your #1 network marketing asset for your business. As time goes on, you could even stop the article writing and just spend all your time blogging if you do the proper SEO practices for your site/blog.
3- Press Releases:
Press releases are easier to get done that article marketing because their approval process is almost instaneous and in most cases it’s free to do. As my friend Alan Turnquist is fond of saying,
“You should write a press release whenever anything noteworthy or positive happens in your business”
Forums:
There are network marketing forums like BetterNetworker where you can write articles. Since BN is an established authoritative site and a lot of pre-existing traffic coming going to it, your articles here will get ready by other network marketers. It’s also a great place to network with other like-minded people, which is what this is all about, right?
Video marketing:
Do the same thing here as you do for blogging and article marketing; review other programs, products, tools and share your network marketing tips.
Internet Network Marketing Lead Generation
Since SEO Networker came out and it’s so expensive, I figured I’d show you how to get some leads generated via internet network marketing.
Sometimes people make things seem more difficult than they are.
“How Do I get network marketing leads?”… Many people ask
“Same as you would in any other niche”, I answer…
If you have any experience at all with internet marketing and niche marketing then you should treat network marketing just like any other niche you are entering into.
First off STOP thinking of everything in terms of leads and prospects.
START thinking of things in terms of subscribers, website traffic visitors, RSS readers of your blog etc…
What gets you network marketing leads via the internet is website traffic, and the more traffic you get the more subscribers, potential customers and team-mates you acquire…
So how to get traffic to a site about network marketing?
- Write about the generic stuff that related to your niche (network marketing) based off a keywords list.
- Write about stuff that doesn’t show up in keyword tools, like
- new program launches,
- inspirational stuff to motivate readers,
- reviews on MLM and Network marketing business opportunities
- reviews on any of the 50 or so funded proposal programs out there
How does on to keyword research for the network marketing “niche”?
Here, I’ve done some research for you using Google Keyword Tool and the Google Toolbar suggestion feature.
You just type in keywords and it auto suggests other keywords and they correlate to what the keyword tool itself shows for high volume related keywords.
This is all right at your finger tips, yes!

Network marketing keywords list
Now, this list and all those related sub-keywords are based off only the 1 “seed” keyword you started with, so if/when you dig down and find other keywords to target you’ll quickly have a list of things to write about.
However, I have always found that doing keyword research is great, but it has ALWAYS worked out better for me when I just “knew” my niche, knew what they wanted to talk about, what their concerns were, what’s happening now etc… and then just writing naturally about it.
So, I find it best to just write for the people/visitors and not just target keywords because there’s supposedly some large numbers of traffic that should come when I target those phrases.
And since you should know your niche if you want to be successful at it, write about less generic terms like Offline Leads Generation, Drop Cards, Free Robert Kiyosaki CD, etc…
