A stupid reason why downlines leave your business

by Daniel Mcgonagle on October 5, 2009

Sometimes you just gotta shake your head and wonder…

How are people so clueless and yet still have the privilege to possess a driver’s license AND the right to vote?

Stupid reason for quitting a program:

“I don’t like the taste of the product, and I’d never push something on someone else that I didn’t personally approve of”

What a great sentiment and I’d admire the integrity behind it except for the fact that it’s chock-full of unbelievable ignorance and a lot of insecurity is hiding behind those words.

What that statement implies:

  • Everyone has the same taste buds you do
  • It’s all about the product
  • You don’t know how to sell or recruit therefore consider salesmanship/recruiting as “pushing” things on people…

What that statement is saying on a deeper, more psychological level:

  • You’re afraid of failure, so…
  • You find reasons to quit
  • Your ego needs you to adapt the “you can’t fire me I quit” type of attitude, so you quit before you try, which keeps the ego safe and sound.
  • You want to tell yourself that;

“yeah, I was going to succeed with this one one, too but I didn’t like their product either…I’m just waiting for a good product to finally come along and then I’ll really get serious about this and make my money”…

Let’s wrap this up and try to save a soul here:

  • The success of your network marketing business has very little to do with the program,
  • The success of your network marketing business has very little to do with the company,
  • The success of your network marketing business has very little to do with the products,
  • The success of your network marketing business has very little to do with the compensation plan.

Take the following bullet points above and below and shove them deep inside your brain…!!!

Here’s the reason why your success has nothing to do with all of those things mentioned above:

There’s 5,000 network marketing, multi level marketing companies and programs out there and more coming out ever day, and they’re all vying for you and your team’s attention…

So with all these new companies, program, products etc… how do you claim your market share and build a strong organization?

Well, first of all you might want to put your taste buds aside for the time being and focus on your marketing message and efforts….

Secondly, you might also want to cure yourself of the jump-ship disease by buckling down to figure out why it is you never last more than a few months with each new company you join.

Hint: Because anyone can make money and enroll people during a big launch, and true staying power comes from your ability to recruit non-stop day or night, not selling, but recruiting…

Thirdly, the following items and questions need to be taken into consideration:

  • Are you acting like another peddler promoting the product, product, product, comp plan, comp plan, comp plan, ownership, ownership, ownership etc….?
    • What’s your marketing style?
    • Are you selling or recruiting?
    • Do you know the difference between the two?

You have a long way to go if you don’t have satisfactory answers to those questions, sorry to tell you that but it’s the truth…

Sorry for the harsh words if they offended you somehow…just trying to reach through to people’s inner core and change a life, hope you understand
