A Warning To ALL Network Marketers

Part of the branding process for your network marketing business requires that you put yourself out there, which means placing your picture and/or phone number out on the web for all to see.

But guess what this means?

It means you’ll get approached by meta-search engine companies like Leapfish, and some people will join your list to do some reverse marketing on you for their direct mail newsletter and sometimes you’ll even get some SEO companies calling you promising guaranteed high placements.

Leapfish- It’s a meta search engine meaning that it’s a portal for going to google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing etc…  they promise you permanent placements at the very top of the search listings much like PPC does but only has a one-time fee.  You just have to consider whether 800 dollars is worth it for a meta-search engine portal that doesn’t really garner the search traffic and search engine usage that Google, MSN, and Yahoo does.

Direct mail newsletters reverse marketers - Sometimes you’ll get someone who joins your list only to tell you that they have a huge direct mail offline newsletter and can offer you an advertising spot for a fee.  I’ve always been of the opinion that if something was truly valuable and consistently realized a positive ROI, then YOU would be seeking THEM out, not the other way around.

SEO companies - Again, why would they be calling you if they were in such demand?  Well, that’s the inherent danger or having your phone number liste don the internet.

Here’s how it works for most SEO companies offering guaranteed placements:

They can guarantee you top spots almost right away because they’ve already achieved these top listings for certain terms, so what they do is they change the content on their high-placed listing to link to you or one of your sites.

You’re tapping into and leveraging the hard work and the SERPs accomplishments they achieved already, but at a hefty price and usually these top rankings and SERPs are IMpermanent, only good for 6 months, and will cost you over $1,000.00.

Is it worth it to spend 1k on 6 months of top SERPs for competitive terms?

Maybe, but you could also get permanent results if you spent $1k on 150 articles written and submitted for you…

It might take longer to get top rankings the article writing way, but it’s more permanent and article marketing is a gift that keeps on giving (manual traffic from your resource boxes and backlinks generated from your articles)
