A peddler is a sales-person who always promotes something other than him/herself first
A peddler site promotes the company’s product, comp. plan and business.
A successful network marketer/recruiter is someone who quickly realizes the The Inconvenient Truth About Network Marketing Businesses and makes the necessary adjustments.
I have several peddler sites that out rank or are barely getting out-ranked by the companies those sites are promoting.
And a lot of times, if I feel strongly about a specific product or service, I will create peddler sites for those programs and products.
So why do I create peddler sites, if being a peddler isn’t recommended?
One reason I do that is because ranking well for specific program and product names is very easy for me to do.
Another reason is because these high-ranking sites make money on auto pilot for me every day.
When you are marketing something there’s no need to limit yourself to methods that others say don’t work.
You can be a peddler/direct marketing sales person for your business and get enrollees and sign-ups, but the longevity of your business, and the strength of your team is dependent on their duplication.
Remember there are tons of ways to build your business, and they all work to different degrees, depending on your skills.
EVERYTHING WORKS!, if your writing and your messages are clear and convincing.
However, some things don’t work as well as others, which brings us back to the whole “peddler” thing.
In my opinion, you should always build a direct sales site for your primary business if they allow you to use their company name in your domain name. There’s really no reason to pass up the chance for free traffic via page 1 rankings just because someone guru told you that you should never let people see what your primary is.
The reason for this is, people who arriv eat your peddler site were searching fo rmor einformation on that business you’r ein, therefore they know a little bit about it and are search for ;

reason to join
or sponsor-shopping and potential-upline-googling
If these searchers see what you’re “into these days” and then they Google your name, they’ll see everything else you’re doing which edifies and brands you as the type of sponsor they want above them.
So, with that being said, I believe you should make peddler sites whenever possible…
JUST DON’T BE A PEDDLER…
Huh? Don’t be a peddler but make peddler sites?
Right…
Look, if you want a free ad that gets traffic to your affiliate links 24 hours a day, then peddler sites will do that for you.
On your website, you can give the upside for joining your business but you don’t have to spend a lot of time doing that.
Just review the comp plan, the products, the company inside info, and link to some training calls, that’s it…
Let your website be the peddler, but
- You Inc. should be the recruiter…
- You Inc. should be the entity that seals the deal,
- You Inc. makes non-believers into believers and followers,
- You Inc. makes followers into happy team members,
- You Inc. makes happy team members into productive recruiters
A productive successful downline is exactly what every marketer wants
And it’s all achieved via promotion of You Inc. not peddling…
Leave your options open, because peddler sites work to a small degree if you’re page 1 and Googling of your name edifies you.
