Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Poor Dad and Network Marketing

You probably know Robert Kiyosaki because of his fame from his book titled Rich Dad Poor Dad but what influence has he had on network marketing?

When I speak to people interested in changing their financial situation I like to tell them about the “escalator example” from one of Robert Kiyosaki’s books.

Financial belief systems exemplified by The Escalator Example:

Financially speaking, mostly everyone on this planet is going through life as if we’re walking Up an escalator going Down.

The more you acquire the more you spend, so your input/output (income/spending) ratio never changes.

Even people you think of as “rich” do this!

When they get a promotion at their high-paying job what do most of them do?

They upgrade from the C class to the E class Mercedes, that’s what!

Unless you retrain your brain to think differently about true financial freedom and independence and what those words really mean, then you’ll never get to realize those goals.

In my opinion, true freedom financially means 2 things;

1- Living comfortably within your means.

This means you decrease your wants, and address your needs.

Everyone WANTS a bigger TV, but there isn’t a single person in this world who actually needs one.

2- Having more money than you could ever spend in a lifetime.

If you had a trillion dollars liquid, then it’s safe to say you can buy yourself any luxury you want.

Of the 2 items listed above, one is immediately attainable, how bad do you want it?

How does Robert Kiyosaki‘s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book and the escalator example tie in to network marketing and the creation of wealth?

The reason Robert Kiyosaki‘s book was called Rich Dad, Poor Dad is because he was subjected to 2 different types of influences regarding financial freedom in his life by fathers/father figures.

  • The Rich Dad thought one way.
  • The Poor Dad though a different way

Everything you’ve been taught growing up is leading you down the Poor Dad path, so thinking like everyone else will leave you lumped in the swimming pool with the rest of the paycheck-to-paycheck guppies.

If you continue to do what 95% of other network marketers are doing, you will be just like them (failing).

If you change your mindset you will see different results with your business.

Start thinking like a Rich Dad, and you’ll be one rich “muthah”…
