3 foot rule for recruiting new prospects; good or bad idea?

The 3 foot rule for marketing your business and recruiting new team members has been around for a long time, but is it still a recommended practice in today’s day and age, in 2009?

Well, let’s look at it this way…

95% of network marketers fail to make a full time income from their businesses and they are already interested in this business model and seem to like it (for some strange reason).

So what happens when you approach someone within 3 feet of you about starting a network marketing or home business?

What’s network marketing, mlm, multi level marketing?

It’s not one of those ponzi schemes is it?

It’s not MLM like Amway is it?

Then the objections….

How much is it going to cost me?

I don’t have the time….

I don’t understand how I get paid

Not good with computers or technology…

You don’t have to waste any time overcoming these objections or opportunites for educating newbies when you’re dealing with people who already are network marketers.

OTHER network marketers will “pick up what yer putting down” almost right away, and will understand binary comp plans hybrid binaries, invite calls, prospecting calls, opportunity calls and so on and so forth…

So you tell me, is the 3 foot rule a good idea or not?

Or should you be targeting the easier and better market first?
