Wide Net Marketing and why it’s important

Wide Net Marketing is the practice of prospecting to a wide and general audience within a specific industry, but bear in mind that casting a wide net is also very targeted.

As the term is applied to the network marketing industry, wide net marketing means casting a wide net and trying to go”wide instead of narrow” in your prospecting.

An example of extremely narrow prospecting, albeit with a very high conversion rate, is when network marketers only promote their primary program and do this with their front-end marketing.

The front-end marketing methods used by most IBOs, affiliates, and downlines is to promote their primary first and foremost, and almost exclusively just that.  Most of their “message” revolves around their primary program, and this means their message and target audience is narrow.

You have to remember that there are many programs out there competing for oyur prospects’ attention so you need to ocnvince them that something about you is different.

Wide net marketing DOES make you different, because you’re no thitting people up with “join me in this program” type sof messages, but instead… you’re sharing valuable marketing tips to a wider audinece.

The problem with wide net marketing is that the more general your message is, the more competition there is for those general industry-related terms like network marketing, network marketing training, mlm, miltilevel marketing, mlm training etc…  This can pose a problem is you’re writing articles and submitting them to article directories but never really getting any traffic because the articles never get ranked…

There is a certain method to doing wide net marketing the right way, and you’ll learn all that you need to know about it here
